July 3rd at Riverside

We went to the Friendship Festival at Riverside park with Shelle and her family. We had planned on watching the fireworks, but were misinformed and they did not have them that night. We had fun anyway. Ben won a ball in a fishing game, and then he, Ehryn, Emma and Julie played with that until dark. Then they played with the glow sticks until someone came around telling everyone there were no fireworks that night. Ben was disappointed with not seeing the fireworks, in Ben's words, "No big booms, no big booms!"

Ben’s idea of a good dessert

Sounds like a good idea to me too. Add some whipped cream and we will just have to eat them all.

July 4th Weekend through Ben’s Camera

 

Just had to have some strawberries

After Ben was unable to find any strawberries at the farmers market, even though he asked everyone there if they had any, this afternoon we just had to pick some off of the plant in our backyard. We cleaned them off and as soon as he sat down, they were gone. It looks like there will be a few more ready in the next couple of days.

Car Wash

 

The kids were playing in the water, and Julie kept running onto the driveway and burning her feet, so I moved the sprinkler onto the driveway so they would not burn their feet. Ben grabbed one of the cars and says car wash and starts going through it. Julie joined in and they had a blast.

Julie’s First Hair Cut

We took Julie for her first hair cut yesterday. Ben got his hair cut first and she sat and watched. When it was Julie turn, she was very content and it went very well.

M&M People

Ben was playing with the M&M character creator, with me and Lisa. According to Ben, the one with an ice cream cone is me, the one with the hat is my dad and the one with the necklace is “GG".”

Strawberries

Ben ate the first strawberry off out plants. There were two ripe, and I told him that the other one was mommy’s and that he had to wait and ask her for it, because he wanted that one after he ate the first. He demanded the phone and Lisa said he could have the other. He ran outside and had me pick the other.
