Mrs. Miller’s Munchkins

Ben’s teacher was so impressed with what we were doing with Ben’s blog that she decided to start one for her class. It has been a great avenue for her to share what they have been up to in class. She has had to refrain from naming names, but she has still been able to share some stories. It has been useful in clarifying Ben’s description of what they have done that day. It has been great to have a tool to re enforce what he has learned and to know what we need to be working on.

It has been good to see her enthusiasm and that she truly loves her job and teaching the kids. I hope that she continues to provide this resource and continue to show her excitement for teaching. Her blog can be found at www.JMiller2.blogspot.com

Name for the New Children’s Hospital

The Oishei Foundation donated $10 million for the naming rights for the new hospital. It will be called the John R. Oishei Children’s Hospital. The grounding breaking on the new build should be this spring with a completion end of 2015.

Nothing against the Oishei Foundation, but I cannot see myself calling it anything other than Children’s hospital or CHoB. If we get $15 million together, can we keep the name Children’s hospital of Buffalo? So who has $15 Million laying around?

When a box is not just a box

We had an empty box that the kids are playing with. It started as a boat. Then Ben ripped holes in it and put it over Julie's head, and she became a robot. Then the box went to being a plane. Then a car. Now it is a sinking boat. That is all in a couple of hours. I wonder what else it will be.
