Pumpkins!

We went and got our pumpkins. This year Shelle took us to the farm she always takes her family. Everyone had a good time.

Unsloppy Joes

Ben and Julie helped me make dinner and brownies tonight. We saw this and thought it would be a recipe to try with the kids. They turned out great, and the kids had fun helping make them.

1 lb  ground beef, cooked, drained

1 can (15 oz) sloppy joe sauce

1 teaspoon chili powder

1 can (16.3 oz) Pillsbury® Grands!® refrigerated biscuits

1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (2 oz)

  1. Heat oven to 375° F. In large skillet, cook ground beef over medium-high heat until beef is thoroughly cooked, stirring frequently; drain. Stir in sauce and chili powder; simmer 5 minutes.
  2. Press each biscuit into 6-inch round. Spoon 1/3 cup meat mixture and about 1 tablespoon cheese onto center of each round. Fold dough in half over filling; press to seal. Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
  3. Bake 9 to 14 minutes or until golden brown.

The Claw

So John has been talking about claw machines. There is one in the Budweys by my house. I cannot remember the last time I tried to get something out of those machines, so I try on the machine at Budweys. The first attempt, I pull out a bear that is almost as big as Mason. This got the kids excited and Ben pointed out which one he wanted, but I am unable to grab that one. The next try I pull out a backpack for Julie. I go one more time, get a bear by the leg, but as it drags across the other toys, it pulls loose. 2 toys for $4 is not bad. When John creates his app he may want to add this machine.
