In the Tonawanda News

Yesterday the Channel 7 News and a couple from H&R Block came to the hospital. Julie was the last baby born in 2009 in Western New York. We were on the 11 O'clock News and in the Tonawanda News. The couple from H&R Block gave us a diaper bag full of baby stuff and are sending us a free tax prep. Julie is only a couple days old and she is already famous.

Our little Miracle

When Julie was born there was a true knot in the umbilical cord. The doctor pointed it out to the resident with a little bit of amazement in his voice and showed her how it was a knot, but then did not say anything more about it. I did not think to much about it at the time, but this morning that phrase, True knot, kept popping up in my head. I looked it up online this morning. In the early stages of the pregnancy, Julie went through a loop in the umbilical cord and made a knot in it. At any time had that knot become tight, we would have lost her. I felt I needed to acknowledge our little miracle. She is truly a blessing to us. Our lives are filled with many miracles and blessing, we just need to acknowledge them. May this new year bring many blessing to all of you!

Julie Marie was born at 11:26 pm. 5 pounds 8 ounces. 19 and a half inches. Mom and baby are doing well.
