What a Good Big Brother

While watching a movie...

I was lying on the bed watching a movie with Ben and Julie. Julie was lying between me and Ben. They were staying still being good for a while, and then Julie wanted Ben sippy cup, which he was drinking. She would reach for it and he would move a little bit away, and she would reach little bit further. This went on until Ben did not have any more room.. and fell off the bed. He walked all the way around the bed climbed on me and had me hold him for a little bit. Then he went back to his spot after putting his cup on the night stand.

Playmates

We babysat for some of Amy's friends. Oscar and Hailey are about Ben and Julie's age. Ben and Oscar had a great time together.

Everything goes up into the fort

Outside and....

Cooking... Lisa bought me a new grill as an early Father's day gift. The one I had, had been limping along since it got crushed by a tree in the October storm a few years ago and had finally given up. I had put the new grill together on Monday and then we tried it out yesterday. This is a photo from yesterday. It was nice to be able to eat in the backyard.


Play on the computer... What you don't think a computer should be outside? That's why they are mobile, besides when then would you get this post. I have a nice signal from my router back here.

Yes, he is smart

I go to pick the kids up from daycare today, and Ben is in the backyard with his class. They have fences separating the different age groups, and when Ben sees me, he runs up to the gate and opens it and runs to me. The teacher looks at me and says, "Oh, He can open the latch?" The way she said it seemed part shocked, part amazed, and part why didn't you warn me. I tell her, "I guess so, but we do not have any latches like that, and that is the first time I have even seen him try to open it." She then says, "I guess he has been watching us." Have you not met my son? Do you not realize he is a very smart two year old? He acted like it was no big deal to open that gate, so they are going to have to watch it from now on.

Of course it Rained

We got the back yard all set to have the kids play out side for Ben's party, and so a little bit before everyone gets here it starts to rain. At one point we decided that it dried out enough for the to go out and play.

It only took all night. Ben has been playng on it the past few hours.

Ben is just so funny...

At least Julie thinks so.

Playing in the Yard

I took the kids out into the back yard this evening. Julie was very content lying in the grass. She would play with the grass and then look up and see what Ben was doing and watch him for a while.
