Ben has been asking for a hair cut for a couple of days. So, when I got home today, Lisa sent us out for hair cuts. We got to Fantastic Sams, and there was not a long wait. The girl who was going to cut my hair was freed up first, and she called us over. Ben climbed in the the chair next to mine and watch as she started cutting my hair. When the other girl was ready for Ben, she came over, got him ready and started cutting. Ben was very well behaved. He followed all of her directions. She would tell him to look down at his feet and he would until she told him to look somewhere else. Then when they were finished he turned to the mirror and checked out his hair cut. She asked him if it looked good and he said “uh huh.” Then she said he was a handsome little boy, and he said “uh huh.” He did so well, we had to stop at DQ on the way home.

Easy Ham and Noodles

We had a lot of ham left over from yesterday. I wanted to find some recipes, so no one would get tired of ham. The kids seemed to really like this one. I am going to post this on the family recipe blog and if any of the other recipes I found today work out you will be able to find them there. This recipe was more of a guideline, I did not measure anything, and I am not sure I was all that close on some things.

Ingredients:

2 cups cooked noodles

1 cup cubed, cooked ham

1/2 cup

cubed cheddar

1 can cream of mushroom soup

1/2 soup can of milk

Directions:

Place everything in a 9x9 casserole dish and bake at 375 degrees for 25 – 30 minutes.

See Done

The kids were eating dinner and Julie finished, so I gave her some ice cream. Ben wanted some ice cream too, but I told him he had to finish his dinner first. So he continued to eat slowly. The when Julie was done, she wanted to go to bed. Ben wanted ice cream before I took her up there. I told him no and that he needed to eat a little bit more before he got ice cream. He sits down, goes to take a bite, but stops and looks at me with this look of I have a plan and am going to put it into action. A look I am probably going to fear. I take Julie up slowly and try to keep an eye on the downstairs as I am going up… And here comes Ben past the stairs with his plate going into the kitchen. I call to him, he stops and goes back to the table. After Julie is in bed, I come downstairs and find that Ben had emptied his plate into the garbage and he is sitting back at the table. He sees me and goes, “See Done!” I am glad he only had a little left on his plate. I had to wait a while to give him ice cream so I was not rewarding him for throwing out his food.
